Vacation Quest Review: Anniversary Trip to Aruba!

Member John P. seems to know the true value of a vacation, which is why he cherishes those times spent with loved ones. His most recent trip happened to be for his 40th anniversary, where he stayed at the Tropicana Aruba Resort and Casino on Eagle Beach. He tells us about his fabulous Caribbean vacation in this week’s Member Monday.

Where would you recommend a fellow member to go to…

  • Gianni’s
  • Chalet Suisse
  • Matthews Beachside Restaurant

Have fun/attractions:
It’s an absolutely beautiful island with the nicest people you will ever meet. Stunning beaches, great restaurants and exciting nightlife.

  • Bon Bini Tours
  • ATV to the Natural Pool
  • Baby Beach snorkeling

The ATV tour was the best thing I have done in a long time.

What was your favorite…
Resort/condo amenity:
All the staff were extremely nice and great pools.

Place to go in the destination:
Palm Beach.

Why did you choose this destination? Were you traveling for a special occasion?
It was our 40th wedding anniversary.

What was your favorite memory of your vacation?
Sunset cruise on a catamaran on our anniversary.

Any tips for a traveler going to this resort or destination? Anything you think they should bring?
Bring lots of suntan lotion as the weather is great and the beach is a three-minute walk from the hotel.

The rooms are like small apartments and there is a huge Super Foods within walking distance, at which you can shop and stock your kitchen and fridge.

About you

How long have you been a Vacation Quest member?
More than 20 years.

Why did you join the club?
Great value and unlike timeshare, you get to choose where and when you want to go somewhere.

How many trips have you taken using your membership?
About eight.

Why do you think traveling is important?
I’m not sure about anyone else, but I work very hard and vacation is important to get away from the everyday stress of work and life. Without vacation to look forward to, nothing would really matter much. Family time is the most important thing to me.
